# Adoration of the Magi of Narihualá

The traditional Adoration of the Magi of Narihualá celebrates the Epiphany every January 6–7. The Three Kings ride from the main square of Catacaos to Narihualá accompanied by shepherds, an angel with the silver star and a reenactment of Herod and the Massacre of the Innocents, closing the Christmas cycle with typical dishes such as sopa de pava and chicha de jora.

La Bajada de Reyes de Narihualá, "Capital de la Nación Tallán", es una de las tradiciones más vivas del Bajo Piura. Cada 6 de enero los camaretazos a las 6:00 a.m. abren la fiesta; por la tarde los Reyes Magos cabalgan desde la Plaza de Armas de Catacaos hasta Narihualá con pastores de Belén, un ángel y la estrella de plata, escenificando el encuentro con Herodes y el degollamiento de los Santos Inocentes frente al Museo de Sitio.
